Hello, fellow mortal. How is life treating you? How is the weather there? We are a bit tied up at our end, but you know how it gets, right? But let us not waste any more time than we have to. Today’s topic might interest you. Our research team came to know that Sonos has just announced that it is opening a public beta for Alexa support for all its connected speakers and to go along with Amazon’s voice assistant. The company recently came forward and announced that it would even be adding support for Google Assistant to its newly announced, voice-controlled Sonos that will be coming out next year. To know more, please read ahead.
Assistant on Sonos One will be the same as the Google Assistant which it offers on all of its other devices. Till now it hasn’t been clarified exactly what and how Assistant and Alexa will work side by side on the One just yet. We will have to wait and see how everything works out. The release date has not been set yet, but it is being estimated that it will come out in the year of 2018. The company will make the Sonos’ new speaker the first major product that will support both, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. We even came across the news that Siri supported through AirPlay 2 on a connected iPhone is coming out next year too. There is an argument to be made that supports that Sonos One will offer the most outreached support for virtual assistants of the time. It seems really exciting and we can hardly wait for 2018 to come. The preparations have already begun.
