New season, so naturally a new iPhone is set to be launched. Talks of iPhone are majorly being discussed by most of the techies. With so many leaks doing the rounds, we are already excited for the phone to be out in the market as soon as possible. Till then we are indulging in the information provided about the modifications and changes incorporated in the latest model of the iPhone. According to HomePod firmware, developers have discovered that makers have made some modifications to the home button. There is now a resizable home button along with an Apple Pay authentication which makes use for facial recognition.
Through “Pearl ID” which is the codename used by Apple for its facial recognition system, developer Guilherme Rambo found that the facial recognition system will hold the capacity to store multiple faces and can be accessed by third party apps as well. It was also hinted that the phone might support two-step biometric authentication for extra security. You can relax and take a sigh of relief knowing that your data is safe and sound.
This addition of feature is the combination of both facial recognition and fingerprint ID adding a layer of authentication. It was suggested that the rear and front camera would be occupied for this purpose. The home button will be changed to a virtual one. Developer Steve Troughton-Smith found that the button will be resizable and a part of “periphery area” which can expand and minimised depending upon the need. It can also be hidden as well.
iPhone 8 will be embedded with the technology to capture 240 fps video at 1080p. This is an upgradation from the current iPhone 7 which can shoot 240 fps, but only at 720p. The makers have changed the HDR to “ModernHDR”. It will be clearer what this means once the developer finds out more or the phone comes out. The definition will be more clear than vague. The screen will be taller-than-usual in terms of ratio and a notch for the front-facing camera.
The recent leaks have suggested that the phone might have an all-screen front, silent notifications when you’re looking at your phone or it is use and wireless charging (sounds thrilling, right?). From the picture painted by the leaks, it seems that iPhone 8 will beat the rest of the versions by a large margin and will a state of the art beauty. We sincerely hope that the phone is launched sooner than later.
